A youth nonprofit that needed to be taken seriously.

SWK Ghana drives sustainable development, leadership, and entrepreneurship for young people across Ghana. The work was real and the results were real. The digital presence was not keeping up.

The problem

SWK Ghana was doing serious work with young people and had nothing online that reflected it. When a potential funder, partner organisation, or volunteer searched for them, they found scattered social media posts and no central place that explained who the organisation was, what it ran, or how to get involved.

For a nonprofit, that gap is expensive. Funding conversations often begin with someone quietly checking whether an organisation looks real. Without a website, SWK Ghana was asking people to take that on faith.

  • No single source of truth for programs, leadership, or impact
  • Nothing to send a funder or partner during a first conversation
  • Volunteer and contact enquiries scattered across personal inboxes and DMs
  • No search presence for the causes the organisation actually works on

What we built

We started with a discovery conversation rather than a design. Before writing any code we mapped what SWK Ghana actually needed the site to do: prove legitimacy to funders, explain the programs clearly, and collect enquiries in one reliable place.

The result is a full organisational website built in React and Vite and deployed on Vercel, with images served through Cloudinary so pages stay light on the mobile connections most of their audience uses.

  • A structured home page that states the mission in the first screen
  • Dedicated program pages, so each initiative can be linked to on its own
  • A leadership and about section that puts real names and faces to the organisation
  • A working contact and enquiry form that routes to one monitored inbox
  • Search-engine fundamentals: unique titles, descriptions, and clean heading structure on every page
  • Optimised, lazy-loaded imagery so the site opens quickly on a mid-range Android phone

  • All enquiries arriving in one monitored inbox
  • A credible link to lead with in any conversation

The impact

The honest version: a website does not fund an organisation. What it does is remove a reason for people to say no, and give the team something solid to point at.

SWK Ghana now owns its story online. The programs are documented, the enquiry route is reliable, and the organisation reads as what it already was, an established nonprofit doing real work.

1 Central home for every program, replacing scattered social posts
100% Of enquiries now land in one monitored inbox
12 mo Hosting, domain, DNS, and SSL managed by KoomBei

SWK Ghana has since returned to KoomBei for two further builds, Taka Kipawa and the SWK Marketplace. Repeat work is the outcome we care about most.

We equip dreamers, help them rise, and walk with them from the first conversation to a fully standing digital presence.
